Melissa is excited to reunite with Sarah and fellow McLachlan band member Butterfly Boucher for an intimate and unique series of shows for the upcoming Sarah & Friends tour. The shows will be in two parts; the first will feature both Melissa's and Butterfly's own songs, with Sarah joining in on vocals and piano. The second set will bring Melissa and Butterfly in as backing band on Sarah's material. The Sarah & Friends tour will showcase this talented and tight-knit community of female songwriters on theatres across the United States.

May 26, 09 · MELISSA McCLELLAND CELEBRATES VICTORIA DAY IN THE USA · Melissa McClelland has been lighting up audiences across Canada and Europe, and even the sovereign state of Hamilton, but now it's America's turn to get theirs. Americana radio stations in the USA are loving Melissa's new album, with Victoria Day landing in the Top Five Adds last week. USA fans will be able to check Melissa out in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco in the next couple of weeks, starting with this Wednesday night with a show at Union Hall in Brooklyn. For those Canucks in the cyber-crowd still pining for Victoria Day, you can check out Melissa on the cover of this week's Ottawa Xpress.
MAY 1, 2009 · UK TOUR · Melissa will spend most of this month in the UK, starting with a showcase at the Kilkenny Roots Festival in Ireland, followed by several club dates and a performance at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton. Most of these shows will feature Luke Doucet as well.
On April 14 · Melissa will be releasing her third album (first for Six Shooter). Entitled Victoria Day, Melissa and husband/producer Luke Doucet masterfully deliver us rebel-rouser guitars in 1950s Hollywood- style infused with a southern-country twang.
The songs capture all of the beauty and charm of the girl next door while lacing the punch at the sock hop with home-made moonshine.
